Wigglebutts Go Hollywoof April Announcements

Go big: That’s the Wigglebutt Warriors mantra. For those unfamiliar, Wigglebutt Warriors is the fundraising arm of Fidose of Reality. Every year, we host a huge fundraising gala to benefit OBG Cocker Rescue, and you and your dog (or cat or ferret) or invited! Well, we have a few announcements to share today with regards to the Wigglebutts Go Hollywoof “fun”-draiser we are hosting to benefit OBG Cocker Rescue on September 20, 2014, in Sterling, Virginia.

GOURMET FOOD

The official caterer of Wigglebutts Go Hollywoof is the former caterer of the Washington Redskins. Since 1989, R & R Catering has been the leader in the greater Washington DC area for its creative cuisine. They have received top catering honors from Washingtonian Magazine, Channel 9 News A-List, The Knot and Wedding Wire, just to name a few.

Even cooler, all prices are disclosed up front in the event contract, and they do not impose hidden charges. All meals are prepared under the guidance of one of Washington’s most renowned chefs, our Executive Chef Lubin Barrantes.

Here are photos of just some of their delectable delicacies. Guests of Wigglebutts Go Hollywoof will be dining on items such as:

* Chicken with lemon, asparagus, and parmesan

* Roasted vegetable tortellini

The official photographers for the Wigglebutts Go Hollywoof event are Jeanne Taylor Photography / Pet Portraits and Dirty Paw Photography. Jeanne Taylor Photography is a published and awarded pet photographer in Northern Virginia, and her talents are impeccable. Dirty Paw Photography specializes in fine art and documentary style pet photography capturing the personality of your pet in each photograph. Check out their Facebook pages, too. All guests will be photographed on the red carpet, in front of the step and repeat, and both Jeanne and Dirty Paw will be photographing the evening’s festivities. Photos will be available for later purchase.

The dynamic duo of Robbin and Joseph Everett will host the glamorous “Wiggy Awards” that will take place during Wigglebutts Go Hollywoof. Robbin and Joseph Everett, internet superstars since September of 2008, have been bringing pet-related entertainment to animal lovers in over 30 countries. Robbin and Joe dominate new media by hosting 2 weekly radio shows, appearing on their own hit web TV show (on hiatus), hosting a community, blogging, and writing a newspaper column. They have made guest appearances on terrestrial radio, guest blog posts and pet related events. They are best known for all things TPPC.tv!!!!

Please welcome Robbin and Joe to the Hollywoof sponsor team and get ready to have an absolutely spectacular time with these two pros taking the lead for the Wiggy Awards portion of the evening.

DESIGNER TO THE STARS

All guests are encouraged to dress in true Hollywood glam style! Dress as you would to walk the red carpet!! You are welcome to wear dress slacks, a business suit, a tux, a dress, or a gown!

Yes, dogs are encouraged to dress up for Hollywoof glam. We have commissioned Anthony Rubio, who designed the outfits for the Wigglebutt Wedding. Rubio will be designing Zoe and Dexter’s couture and he will be available for custom apparel design. Rubio just was awarded the Pet Designer of the Year at the New York Pet Fashion Show, so we are very honored to have his artistic couture as part of our ensemble.

If you are interested in commissioning Anthony Rubio to design for your pet, please connect with him in advance, as each piece of couture is a true work of art. PET-FRIENDLY WINERY GET TOGETHER

The day after the big Wigglebutts Go Hollywoof event will now be dedicated to a pet-friendly day of fun at the Barrel Oaks Winery!

That’s right: Book your room to stay over the night of the Hollywoof gala at our host hotel. The actual event takes place on Saturday, September 20, 2014, at Olde Towne Pet Resort in Sterling, Virginia. The hotel is for accommodations. The actual event is taking place at Olde Towne Pet Resort.

On Sunday, September 21^st, you are invited to bring your pet to the Barrel Oaks Winery in Virginia for a day of wine tasting if desired, picnicking with your friends, dog-friendly fun, and a get together in a relaxed, casual, post-Hollywoof setting.

As if that was not enough to award, one lucky attendee will win a custom miniature version of their dog, as sculpted and designed by Lucy Maloney, Miniature Dog Artist. This is a rare opportunity to immortalize your dog in forever miniature version. Her works are world-renowned, and she designed the Wigglebutt Wedding topper for the cake as well as designing my belated Brandy Noel. She is really a genius at her craft. Olde Towne Pet Resort is not a hotel for people: It is a resort for pets, and we have access to this fabulous facility.
Hotel rooms are now available and there are a limited number of rooms. We were able to garner a very special rate for Wigglebutts Go Hollywoof attendees. If you plan to come and join us, now is the time to book your room. Your credit card will be used to hold the room but will not be charged until you actually check out from your stay in September. Ty so much Darlene Bryant for securing this fab rate for us! Keep in mind, we are planning to do something on Sunday after the event – shooting for a pet-friendly winery and fun together.
